EAST END, Tortola, VI- Local herbalist Roy W. Penn, who claimed to have created an effective remedy for COVID-19 back in 2020, is making an urgent appeal to the government of the Virgin Islands (VI) to initiate testing of local seafood for ‘Forever Chemicals” which he said could be having a huge impact on the health of the population.

“Forever Chemicals” also called PFAS, which stands for Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances, is a class of toxic chemicals common in consumer products and manufacturing and found in food, clothes, and homes.

“Forever chemicals are very poisonous and deadly, infact they are saying that they are the most poisonous substance known and its everywhere… blood, ocean, food makeup, clothes,” he added.

The local medicine man said these chemicals are causing heightened sickness on a global scale, especially in the Virgin Islands (VI) where many youths are now being admitted to the hospital. Mr Penn; however, did not produce any data to support his claim.

'We have a problem'

He said local seafood should be tested as a starting point to know the extent of the chemical's presence in the Virgin Islands.

“I believe we have a problem… the local fish live all their life in water. If we find it in our locally caught fish then we have to assume it's in the waters around us,” he added.

Penn said, as a herbalist, he knows the chemicals are impacting the health of the Virgin Islands but not to what extent. “We need to find out at least to what degree we have a problem, not just that we have a problem.”

PFAS are celebrated for their use in nonstick cookware and water-resistant clothing but also feared for their potential toxicity, which has been linked to types of cancer and other harmful effects, according to USA today.

PFAS are almost impossible to avoid and are also found in our homes, offices and supermarkets.

Mr Penn added that the chemicals are also having impacts on newborn babies and was adamant that it is not a matter of opinion, but of the facts that these chemicals are causing sickness and death.

You better believe him. I am a witness to his teachings and help. He did something big in my life. I became pregnant as soon as I started his diet plan, and medicine, after fighting for it for years. I was fighting so long that when I became I wasn't aware. By the time I found out I was months gone and did work like I am accustom to and lost it. He helps with cancer, and so many other things. I am begging you to believe me. Trying him out and listening cant hurt you. He is a conditioned herbalist also from Dr. Sebi. He starts you out on a cleanse, and warns you to stay away from candida production items. Please I am begging for the mass listen to him, as God be my witness he is awesome.

The seaweed that has become such a problem lately is packed with heavy metal so if it is the source we've got a serious problem. There are studies being carried out on Sargassum locally and across the Caribbean. It is being recommended as plant fertilizer so the population need to be informed more on this subject.
