‘Too early to speculate’ on motives for murder of Omari Roberts- Statement
Roberts, 29, of Palestina Estate, was shot dead at Hillside Bar and Grill, located on Back Street, South Hill, Anguilla early February 17, 2025.
According to the joint statement, the Governor and the Honourable Premier are deeply “concerned and strongly condemn” the recent murders, including that of Roberts.
“Our thoughts and prayers are firstly with the family and friends of all those who have lost their lives and all those affected. We are also aware of the heightened anxiety and fear this will have created across our normally peaceful island. This is not something we are, or should ever become, accustomed to.”
RAPF following ‘several leads’
The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) are working tirelessly to identify those responsible for each of these shocking and criminal acts and they are following several leads, according to the statement.
Unconfirmed reports are that Roberts was relieved of his jewellery by the armed assailants.
“It is too early to speculate on the motives behind each incident and the public should not assume that they are connected. The Governor and Premier are being kept informed of developments by the Commissioner of Police,” the statement noted in relation to the two murders in Anguilla for 2025.
Six homicides were recorded in Anguilla in 2024.

judging from is big expensive 100k chains I've seen enough to know the lifestyle and what they do...
and as usual a business. only in the Caribbean you see businessman having big chains and flashing them assets constantly almost like them didn't gain it earnestly
then there's the women who become single mothers to these type of guys due to their early death or infidelity which very common from that type.. sadly only the kids suffer from this growing without a dad bcuz their mother standards were beyond low only for the kids (males and females) to become a problem child in the future rinse and repeat.
i could never live that lifestyle
you have to watch the people on your team that may turn on you, rivals after you, cops after you, other criminals after you, all with your life and freedom on the line with a ticking clock very few make it to the old retirement age in that life
Cuz they all know the kinda lifestyle these guys are in so you know there time would come early
Y'all didn't try to stop them or shun them when they participate in the fast life. But when them die y'all crying and saying he was good he was this he was that.
Same females and certain businesses (hnf,gas affiliation,IAM)that in miss bvi pageantry chk them socials whenever a "business man" or person who in that lifestyle die. Them crying, posting rip, gone too soon etc.
