SOUTH HILL, Anguilla- A man from the Virgin Islands lost his life in a shooting incident in Anguilla early this morning, Monday, February 17, 2025.
The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Omari Roberts of Palestina Estate on Tortola.
The Royal Anguilla Police Force confirmed Mr Roberts’ death, stating that shortly after 12:00 AM on Monday, information was received regarding a shooting incident at Hill Side Bar, located on Back Street, South Hill.
Anguilla police said Roberts arrived on the island on February 14, 2025.

So just because you can get locked up for a crime, that doesn’t mean you are guilty.
I don’t understand how people put so much value on gold and this big life living. Just for people to rob and kill you for it. Dah mek sense??? What does it t profit a man to lose his life over such material things. And those who rob and kill, how does it feel to take the life of another over such??
We and Anguilla are one. Both British Overseas Territories. Go figure!

Plumbers who wear overalls and drive pickup trucks make decent money and live long. Same for surveyors, electricians, stone masons and diesel mechanics.
They come to Anguilla and mix up with these dumb bobble heads and they don’t know that they be the same ones setting them up. You going come Anguilla, up and down with these ‘everybody girls’, thinking you celebrity because you have jewelry, cars and boats. Anguilla have decent women but these bobble heads be the cause of nuff man demise. So sad.

People ain’t rooting for you, people would much rather hate on you, why would I be happy for you buying a $10,000 Kings Link and $3000 pendant to add to your other chains and I out here broke and struggling boy Ayo going learn the hard way how to move out here
All these young men dying just like that - some from accidents and incidents, some being gunned down, shot to death, killed on scooters etc.
Then we have another set of young men sleeping on the street, begging for money and becoming mentally insane from drugs and whatever the cause.
Then we have the other set ending up in prison or involve in criminal activities, some do not want to work and is no benefit to their families, the church, their communities and society as well.
Soon it would not have any man for the young women to married to, and young children are growing up in a fatherless society.
