Teen charged for murder 'points to critical rupture in social fabric'- ACoP Ullger
The RVIPF disclosed on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, that a 14-year-old male was charged with Albert’s murder one year after he was shot and killed in the Greenland area on June 20, 2025.
Ullger, in a post to the RVIPF's Facebook page on September 9, 2026, said: “This case highlights a deeply concerning reality that we, as a Territory, cannot afford to ignore. When a 14-year-old is implicated in an act of such extreme violence, it points to a critical rupture in the social fabric that protects and guides our youth.”
Policing alone can’t resolve underlying factors
The RVIPF, he said, will always execute its duty to investigate, apprehend and bring offenders before the courts; however, policing alone cannot resolve the underlying factors that draw young people towards serious crime.
The Interim ACoP urged parents, guardians, community leaders, educators, and social organisations across the Virgin Islands to stand with the police.
“We must collectively double our efforts to intervene early, mentor our youth and steer them away from drugs, violent crime and gang influence. The safety and future of our territory depend on our joint commitment to protecting our young people from these destructive paths.”
Ullger said to Albert’s family that he hopes this development brings some measure of comfort and assurance that the RVIPF remains committed to seeking justice for victims of violent crime.
He added that no further details of this case can be disclosed at this time, as the matter will be before the court shortly.

i would say this youth winning this case just as easily
with each lost DOPE BOYZ and KILLAS get more confidence cuz if them get catch is a quick win then back to making illegal proceeds and blood money. idk why them boyz even bother breakout prison cuz dpp would of lose them case anyway. even is 12 find them escaped prisoners dpp will still lose the case of them escaping prison loool
