TRELLIS BAY, Beef Island, VI- A brand new IAM Jet Centre by Signature Aviation has been completed and handed over. The building was fully renovated and is located in a separate building at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island.

The concrete structure, which measures approximately 3500 square feet, has been completely repurposed to accommodate the new IAM Jet Centre by Signature Aviation. It affords two main lounges for both departing and arriving passengers. The new facility offers a smooth internal design flow with comfortable lounges, affording excellent views of the surrounding area.

Open for business

In addition, the facility offers a comfortable lounge area for pilots, as well as ample work areas to accommodate supporting staff members who operate the centre. The brand-new modern facility boasts high-end custom millwork and exquisite finishes throughout. This Design and Build Project was executed by Northam Construction Limited. The project began in mid-March 2024 and was completed in early September 2024. Officially handed over on September 16, 2024, the facility is now fully operational and open for business, according to the contractor.

Scope of works

The full scope of works executed entailed a complete demolition of the interior, concrete works, including the erection of new columns, walls and a concrete canopy at the entrance of the building, and a complete overhaul of the Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, IT and Security Systems. A new comprehensive external package, including complete drainage infrastructure, landscaping and a brand-new driveway with both airside and landside parking lots, was also delivered.

There are IAM Jet centres all over the world, including in the Virgin Islands. They usually cater for high-end travellers so they can experience an elegant standard of service.

Immigration and Customs officers are also expected to be stationed at the Beef Island IAM Jet Centre.

The quality of the project delivered by Northam Construction Limited and its owner Lordon D. Hamlet was praised.

What makes the BVI get excited? Money. They love it so much they can't say no. Want to see the sell outs put the money on the table in front of them. Even their souls they will sell once the money is right.
