BEEF ISLAND, VI- The Terrance B Lettsome International Airport at Beef Island will be the site of a new jet centre. The previous jet centre is now being relocated to a new independent building adjacent to the old centre by the terminal building.

The space will be much bigger and provide all the amenities for those who can afford the service. Speaking exclusively to our News Centre, the contractor Lordon D. Hamlet of Northam Construction said the project is expected to be completed by next month.

The new building has some 15 rooms, which is a much-improved upgrade from the last jet centre with about two rooms.

High-End passengers

The new building to house the jet centre owned by the ‘Signature Flight Support’ company will also have all the requirements for passengers to arrive and depart from the space including security, customs, and immigration services. Airlines and private jet representatives will also be on hand as a part of the departure and arrival experience when passengers are using the jet centre.

The cost of the project is unknown, but the building is shaping up to be one of fine structure and class. The Signature Flight Support company owns jet centres all over the world. Many see this as another addition to the tourism product and for those who can afford to travel in high style.

The old jet centre space is expected to be used by the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA) for arrivals and departure expansion, according to someone familiar with the matter.

For your information, this is not a Government of the BVI funded project and the “IAM Jet Centre By Signature” is not owned by Romney. Find something else to attack the Government about.

More distractive tactics meant to distract our attention from core issues due to the VIP government failures. Can you see my people?

Can we stop hating on young people doing positive things with their life? This is a privately funded project that has absolutely nothing to do with the Government or Airports Authority. Where does kick backs come in? Why can’t we as a people congratulate? FYI this company was instrumental in the new admin building at the Elmore Stoutt High School. They are proven and tested elsewhere also and very much deserving of whatever project they’re blessed with.
