The female contestants are Kayla Grant, Shiann George, Mya Walwyn, Kyrah Maduro and Jerely Jean-Jacques.
The pageant, which will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 is just one of the many activities that fulfills the school management’s endeavour to continuing promoting events that showcase the different abilities of students, according to coordinator Ms Bisa Smith.
All contestants will be judged based on their presentations in Introduction Speech, Talent, Evening Wear, Interview and a new segment, Spirit in Me.
According to the ESHS Pageant Committee, they endeavor for the students to realise that participation in this showcase exposes them to more than pageantry. According to Mrs Smith, "It should also assist in the development of their public speaking and presentation skills, self-confidence and leadership abilities."
The pageant is open to the general public and starts at 7:00 P.M. at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall. Admission is $25.00, VIP tickets $40.00 (sold only at J & C Department Store), and student tickets $15.00. Tickets are available at J & C Department Store, Hazeem’s Beauty Supplies and Elmore Stoutt High School.
