TRELLIS BAY, Beef Island, VI- The Virgin Islands will on Monday, October 14, 2024, welcome the inaugural flight of Caribbean Airlines to Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island.

The flight is set to depart Antigua at 10:35 AM and arrive at Beef Island at 11:40 AM.

The inaugural arrival of the Caribbean Airlines flight will be carried live on the Government of the Virgin Islands Facebook page from 11:30 AM.

It was on August 12, 2024, that Caribbean Airlines announced the launch of its new route to Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island in the Virgin Islands, commencing on October 14, 2024.

According to a press release from the airline, this expansion is part of the airline's strategic plan to better connect the Caribbean region, enhancing its robust network.

4 flights per week

Flights will operate four (4) times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday) out of the airline's base in Trinidad, offering convenient connections to other destinations including but not limited to Antigua, Barbados and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Caribbean Airlines said this network expansion underscores Caribbean Airlines' commitment to fostering regional integration and facilitating easier access to the Caribbean's diverse destinations.

“The new route to Tortola not only strengthens the airline's position as a key player in Caribbean aviation but also supports the region's economic development by promoting tourism and business travel. Caribbean Airlines invites passengers to experience the warmth of the Caribbean through its extensive route network and exceptional service,” the press release stated.

Managing Director of BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA) Mr Kurt A.G. Menal told our News Centre in August that the launch of Caribbean Airlines' service to the VI marks a “significant milestone” for the territory.

“This achievement is the result of a collaborative effort between the BVI Airports Authority, Caribbean Airlines, and other key stakeholders, all of whom worked tirelessly to bring this service to fruition,” Mr Menal had said.

SK is less than One hr from here..I have to go Antigua, then 5 hrs in St.arten...These Airlines are joke. Greedy Vampires..Vampires. Imagine it cost me less to go to Guyana from BVI than to go SK..it's a Shame, I already boycott inter Caribbean , Winair Will be next..

    Further proof that the runway does not require extension. Improve Immigration (more than one line for non-citizens), baggage handling (get some trolleys), security (more lines with greater capacity), better facility maintenance. Improve parking for private jets (revenue source). Upgrade technology.

      do some research, the plane in the picture is not what is coming here. It will be a small ATR turboprop they will operate here. We need the extension

        @LOL
        The plane in the 2nd pic (official GOVT release) is the correct plane the ATR 72 which has a capacity of 68 passengers. Running a 68 seater back and forth will take some filling much less the bigger plane a 150 plus seater. A 48 seater is more ideal for the market.
