VI Scotiabank Branch Manager Ryan L. Best victim of hit & run in St Maarten


Mr Best reportedly suffered severe head trauma and was subsequently air dashed to the United States of America (USA).
According to St Martin News Network on April 28, 2018 the Police Traffic Department is presently investigating a “hit and run” accident which took place on Saturday April 28, 2018 at approximately 03.05 A.M. on the Welfare road in the vicinity of “Toppers” leaving one male victim very seriously injured.
It further said, on the scene the investigating officers found the victim lying in pool of blood in front of “Toppers” and was clear to see that he suffered severe head trauma.
According to information received, the victim at the time of the accident was crossing the street and was struck by a private vehicle with French license plate. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and continued driving in the direction of Simpson Bay.
“Paramedics treated the victim on the scene and transported him immediately to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further medical attention. The Police Department later learnt that the victim would have to be flown to the US because of his serious medical condition.”
