Vernon Bernard charged in connection to TPP Jewellery store robbery
Vernon Bernard, 32, of Manuel Reef, was charged with Robbery, Handling Stolen Goods, and Possession of the Proceeds of Criminal Conduct and will appear before the Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.
Police said in July of 2023, they responded to reports of an armed robbery at Tortola Pier Park, where two masked men dressed in white entered a prominent business and made off with Jewelry from the showcase.
The masked bandits then fired shots into the air while they made their escape; however, no injuries were reported.
Two men previously charged in relation to the daring daylight robbery were Shamul Mitchell, 35, of Sand Box Road, and Jelani Marquis, 27, of Hannahs Estate.
It remains unclear what role this third person played in the heist, as the robbery was carried out by two masked individuals.
Our News Centre will bring more information as it becomes available.
