USVI's Aliyah Boston scores first Adidas ‘Player Exclusive’ shoe

INDIANA, USA - Indiana Fever All-Star player Aliyah Boston, a native of the United States Virgin Islands (USVI), has scored her first Adidas ‘Player Exclusive’ (PE) shoe to celebrate Virgin Islands (VI) pride when she takes to the court.

The 6’5” Boston of St Thomas previously played college basketball for the South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference before she was drafted to the WNBA’s league as an Indiana Fever player.

"PE" shoes are produced exclusively for a particular athlete and are usually not available for sale to the general public, making them highly coveted among collectors and enthusiasts.

Custom shoes 

These custom-designed sneakers are a great way for athletes to express their personal style and brand and the one given to Ms Boston also featured a flag of the USVI on the sole of the shoes.

In a video posted by the Indian Fever, Aliyah in expressing shock and excitement said the shoes and its colour were cute including the inclusion of the map on the sole. 

“My mom is going to cry,’ she added while thanking Adidas for the reminder of home as the represents the USVI in the WNBA. 

Before her inclusion in Indiana Fever, Ms Boston earned the Player of the Year title as a junior in 2023, She has since strengthened Indiana's post position in women’s basketball.

      That’s not the USVI FLAG it’s a MAP of the Virgin Islands. Every time she plays in those shoes she will make a mark on the Virgin Islands with pride! Stop hating and show support!
