USVI hosted carnival concert for vaccinated patrons only
The “1 Night, 1 Fete” event last evening April 30, 2021, according to Caribbean Journal was only opened to 200 people, all of whom were vaccinated in order to attend and protocols like physical distancing, mask-wearing, proper hand hygiene and others had to be followed.
The purpose of the concert according to organizers was to encouraging vaccinations locally and raise money for the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines ravaged by the La Soufrière volcano.
COVID-19 impacted regional events
“We hope that people are encouraged to take the vaccine so that we can safely resume and enjoy in-person gatherings,” said Ian Turnbull, Director of the Division of Festivals.
“Carnivals throughout the region are still being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the Division of Festivals has been proactive and innovative in bringing carnival and special events to our people,” Turnbull said.
The event featured USVI local musical groups such as Cool Session Brass, Legacy Band and Spectrum Band, along with Trinidadian SOCA star Farmer Nappy as the headlining act.
The primary aim of the event was to help promote the USVI’s “Vaccinated to Party Safe” initiative, to help the territory reach Governor Albert Bryan Jr’s goal of vaccinating at least 50,000 Virgin Islanders by July 1.

but you are all smart ... you know better then the rest of the world because of the local sicentist of the BVI who says differently.
btw the other science you don't believe exists shows that people who were vaccinated (Pizer) are not transmitters in 89% of cases ... just based on data of a county that did something about themselves in in 3 months vaccinated 50% of the population.
In the states, they are now allowing biz to allocate special space to vaccinated people ... keep believing in your theories and reading your science journals while the USVI eat your lunch.
If you can do that 100% all of the time, good luck; you don’t need to vaccinate.
On the the hand, if you sometimes have to do things that mean you have to interact with people, not vaccinations is stupid. So, for example, if you:
- have to go to RiteWay sometimes
- sometimes meet a friend
- sometimes meet a relative
- live with another human being who does any of the above
- have children who go to a school
- occasionally have unexpected health problems and have to visit a clinic or hospital where there will be others
- work in an office where there are more persons than just you
Then washing your hands won’t cut it and you won’t always be able to stay 6 feet away fro persons.
It seems you guys want your cake and still have it to eat!
Whats wrong with celebratory events for the fully vaccinated?
This is where you guys should be headed. Instead, you pack churches with funeral attendees, and get angry when persons become ill! Here, church services, functions, singing and attendees are still limited!
As a matter of fact, some funerals are held in open spaces, not inside. So you guys have a long way to go over there.
We need the BVI to open commonsensely and it's not going to happen with with the unvaccinated, trying to share similar spaces in areas of sweat and singing, like the vaccinated!
The choice is yours, BVI!
Satan took Jesus up on a high mountain when he was hungry and offered him all the riches if He would only bow down and worship him. Praise God our Lord and Saviour did not bow down and worship satan. In these times all you are hearing is take the vaccine so that the economy can open up. Who do you trust? God, the Creator or a poisonous vaccine made by satan and his followers?
Look to Jesus, he will take care of you, you don't have to bow down.
yes, like he said ... say in the dark ages ... hopefully Moses will come and help you out.
while all those fools are fighting to get vaccinated and all know smart people of the BVI discovered its all fake and they can throw away the vaccines.
Puer local pride, BVI love ..
