I expect the Government of the PRC will be delighted at the fact BVI Government is promoting these Taiwanese scholarships.

I read that Chinese people don’t care for our race living among them. You see how they treated the African students during COVID. They are racist just like the Europeans. Black people it’s time to stop being so gullible and naïve.

Does anyone know of any universities in Taiwan that offers degree programs in the occult or necromancy? Clearly a big demand for these services, offered by a competent and educated practitioner on Tola and Anegada. Sadly all the wise sages who practice at reasonable prices dead long time.

China owns all the region, no independent state as Taiwan.

The [British] Virgin Islands (VI) is a small ( 36 islands, 59 square miles) resource-poor locale. Its primary resource is human capital and its growth, development, sustainability, resilience, etc., is a function of it effectively investing in the training and education of its people at all levels, ie, Pre-K, primary, secondary, tertiary, etc. The VI future depends on it leveraging education and technology to diversify its current service-based economy. Nevertheless, education in the VI has not gotten the focus, structure, attention needed. Yes, there stars, oasises in the education desert. The territory has not effectively managed its education and training needs, resulting in a lack of and availability of skills locally, requiring the import of personnel to perform tasks which Virgin Islanders should be able to perform.

Moreover, the VI has transitioned from a subsistence agro economy to a service economy—tourism and financial services—, creating new job skills and opportunities. It now boasts of having one of the highest standard of living, quality of life, per capita income, etc. Its HDI (Human Development Index) is a work in progress, ie, education, etc. Further, the VI education system/institutions must be revamped , restructured, etc, to provide a steady stream of highly educated and qualified people who are ready to effectively assume jobs from Premier on down. Public/taxpayer $$$ must focus on training and education to meet national needs. There must be a balance; there cannot be a surplus in some skills and a dearth in others. The Taiwan scholarships are welcomed and needed but must be awarded focusing on national needs.

The following is an excerpt from the article, “ For degree programmes, the award covers tuition fees up to USD$1,275 and a monthly living allowance of USD$478. For the short language courses, complete expenses are covered.” Nonetheless, some clarifications are needed. 1. Tuition up to $1275 is covered, ie, is the coverage per semester, per month, etc.? 2. $478 monthly covers what, housing, food, etc.? 3. What expenses are government covering, if any? 4. What expense if any students/families are expected to fund?

The UK has been in control of the VI since 1672. And has been tasked by the UN in 1946 as the ‘ Administering Power’ for the VI to guide it towards a full measure of self-governance. The UK should have been funding education at a high level to meet the spirit and intent of it guiding the VI towards a full measure of self-governance. Unequivocally, the UK was/is more interested and focused on investing in HMP ( Her/His Majesty Prison) than say a HMHS ( Her/His Majesty High School). The last major capital project the UK partially invested in is the new HMP at Balsam Ghut. Where is the HMHS? Nuff said.

China’s aim is to become the #1 economic and world m; it currently is the #2 economic power. Though its goal is to be #1, it is patience , employing a slow peaceful rise. It success depends on exports, imports, technology, etc. It is patiently waiting for the US and other countries in the west to collapse under their own weight,,division,,etc.. It is closely watching the situation in Ukraine, for if the US and others are chicken to defend Ukraine and Russia prevails, China will make a move on Taiwan sending there will be no serious push back. If China were to move full speed ahead on Taiwan, what will have happen to our students.

So when the bvi becomes independent it's setting up to support the Taiwan Government over China? Is this an early stage where they are trying to influence the bvi?
