NORTH PORTLAND, Oregon, USA – NBA G-League team The Rip City Remix have acquired D’Moi Hodge from the South Bay Lakers in exchange for a 2025 First Round Draft Pick.

The announcement came in a post of X formerly twitter, where the team announced its new picks for the season.

The Rip City Remix is based in North Portland, Oregon, and is affiliated with the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association.

The team plays home games at the Chiles Center and debuted in the 2023–24 season.

Hodge made history for the Virgin Islands (VI) when he signed a 2-way contract with Los Angeles Lakers to play in the NBA and was immediately given honors on returning to the VI with not only monetary cheques and VI ambassador status.

The acquisition by Rap City Remix comes as his stint with the Los Angeles Lakers has come to an end, as the Lakers has waived his 2-way contract.

Hodge signed with the Lakers on July 3, 2023, and appeared in seven regular-season contests this season for the purple and gold, averaging 2.0 points in 5.9 minutes.

At least he has a career! What about you? Seems like yours has not yet started. Go read a book. You could never accomplish what he has.

Keep working hard young man! You never know who is watching and what they will see. The Lakers need to win now so he might have a better chance with a rebuilding team. What is for you is for you. No matter what, you still one of our Gold! Blessings!

Career is not over. Actually he has a better shot of making the Trailblazers and getting more minutes and possibly into the rotation as they are a team in rebuilding mode since the departure of Dame. He was never going to get into the Lakers' rotation as Lebron looking one more chip to retire. This is a good move for Dmoi and let us hope it works out.

    We celebrated too early unfortunately.

Great that he signed a deal with LA. But not sure why that was a reason for a big celebration.

Like a lot of contract signing celebrations in BVI, perhaps we should wait for results prior to celebrating.

Well when your from a country that ain’t known for anything, ran by an overpopulated mass of local idiots you would celebrate at the slightest notion of anything on the international level giving this pebble in the ocean some significance.

Young man always remember the story of Moses, this is your time to shine - NEVER Forget it! Trust God, stay humble and watch the naysayers crawl back in there cages! We will celebrate small and great wins and when there's a breach we will pray and watch God do his miracles!

You are pathetic! I pray you go back where you come from. It takes one idiot to know one.
This pebble in the ocean has done well for itself.

You are totally out of order calling the BVI a pebble in the ocean. We maybe small but we are mighty strong force to .... or against ....

He made it to the biggest stage NBA. That’s still deserving of claps. He will be just fine.

lol needs to leave the pebble and go back to his boulder and see how well he fairs it. They come to the pebble and get opportunities they cannot get at home then this is how they show gratitude because they cannot get enough.
