Premier encourages thankfulness as VI remembered Hurricane Irma
The Virgin Islands (VI) was struck by Hurricane Irma on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, causing widespread destruction, and the loss of four lives.
In a statement, Premier Wheatley said, “I invite you to reflect on the invaluable lessons Irma taught us about the power of community in times of adversity.”
He also called on the people to thank God for granting them the ability to rebuild their lives and country.
Premier Wheatley said those lost due to Irma will be remembered as the VI continues to honour the “journey of resilience and unity”.

No telling with these things.
Imagine if we was independent. We would of been salt salttt
My question is why did you decided after seven years to gave God thanks? Isn't every breath of clean essential to us. God is consistently faithful in manifesting His goodness.
Like your deceased Grandfather, Hon. Willard Wheatley who did not returned in person and give the people of the East End/Long Look/Fat Hog's Bay/Green Land, Hope and Fahie Hill thanks, why haven't you as yet return to give the the people of Long Look/Fat Hog's Bay, Brandywine Bay/ Fahie and Hope Hill thanks in person?
Is the badly ragged, pothole water filled traffic roads, inadequate sewer system and many other negative your ways of saying thanks?
Stop playing politics. You be true With God, others and self, please. Do you Job, honestly.
