Over $99K & go-fast boat seized; 2 arrested
According to reports, more than $99,000 in cash was recovered and the go-fast boat has also been seized.
The incident occurred sometime around 4:00pm.
Comptroller of Customs, Mr Wade N. Smith confirmed the reports to Virgin Islands News Online, adding that investigations are ongoing.
Charter vessel fined $20k for illegal entry
In a separate incident, the surveillance platform detected a US based charter vessel in the Territory’s waters.
The vessel was fined $20,000 for illegal entry, Mr Smith disclosed.
The Virgin Islands had heightened its border surveillance following a spike in COVID-19 cases in August, which was blamed on human smuggling and illegal entry.

@ home grown.. If you had read the article you would've read that no where does it says the Br. Navy had any involvement, it clearly states US/ BR.Virgin island customs. So what are you thinking the governor about? Also look up in your dictionary the difference between BOARDERS/ BORDERS.

Who search the boat who recovered the cash and was Customs officers alone on that job. Excluding the U.S Boarder Officers.
Stop your dam lies. Bout Customs like is them alone that was there. I hope they can go and give their evidence and write their statements.
