VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- At about 3:45 PM today Monday March 6, 2017 a luxury Yacht was seen by our newsroom on fire off The Dogs, close to Virgin Gorda, in Virgin Islands waters.

Details as to the cause of the fire and the owners of the vessel are unknown at this time.

The boat fire has been confirmed by Coordinator of Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR), J. Phil Aspinall.

“It’s at The Dogs. Everyone is off and safe,” Mr Aspinall told Virgin Islands News Online, adding that he did not have all the details.

    People always quick to talk crap. It could have been something serious and potentially fatal. Why must it be insurance? Glad everyone is safe.

      @ SMH: what make you so right(some of us presume that it could be Insurence) while in BVI some of us are certainly entitled to our opinion: we not in Moscow or China(live and let live)

    I know the owner which put a substantial amount of $$$ into upgrades and repairs. I can assure you collecting on insurance was not part of the plan. No shortage of charters or funding.
