It’s BD Basketball Championship weekend! [Photoslide Included]

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With the exception of the U10 age group, all the Play Offs in the Tre Erickson BD Basketball District King League were completed this week.
And it promises to be a Basketball bonanza as in the Under 13 Championship slated for Saturday April 21, District 4 will play District 8 and in the U16’s District 5 faces District 6.

The U10’s Championship will also be decided with first the semi finals between District 5 and District 2, followed by District 9 against District 8.

The week's Play Offs culminated with District 4 U13’s beating District 9, 33-12. Jackoy Walwyn scoring 9 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals along with Dekembe Parsons, who finished on 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. For District 9, Elian O'Neal scored 4 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal.

In the U16’s, District 6 defeated District 9, 40 – 36 with Jomori Dagou netting 13 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist. Mickey Joseph added 10 points and 4 rebounds.

In the other U13 Play Off, District 8 defeated District 2, 12-10. Joel Douglas top scored with 4 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal. Akeem Bradshaw added 2 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal. For District 2, Cymoi George scored 5 points with 3 rebounds and 1 steal, whilst D'moi Hodge scored 3 points, 1 rebound and picked up 3 steals.

District 5 U16’s made the Final with a 41-34 victory over District 2. J'kwon Frett scored 14 points with 2 rebounds and Franklyn Penn added 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. For District 2, Romain Minott finished with 17 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Dominic Adams added 6 points and 7 rebounds.
