Harris hails victory for Team Unity in St Kitts & Nevis polls

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts & Nevis - The Dr. Timothy S. Harris led Team Unity coalition had won the right to govern the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis for five more years after the June 5, 2020, elections in the country.

Speaking exclusively to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) Prime Minister-elect Dr Harris said he was grateful to both his constituents and the people of the federation for their overwhelming show of support and he will always work for the people of St. Kitts & Nevis.

Prime Minister Dr. Harris and his “Dream Team” are were reported to be overjoyed at the victory, which came late in the evening with a majority out of the 11 constituencies.

In a victory address, Dr Harris said, “We thank tremendously the people of St. Kitts and Nevis for a resounding victory it appears that the Team Unity movement will have."

More seats than before 

He continued, "We have a number of seats not yet called but the projections are that we will return to government with a substantial increase in the number of seats.”

So far, Team Unity has won with Lindsay F. Grant (4), Shawn K. Richards (5), Timothy S. Harris (7), Mark Brantley (9) Eric Evelyn (10) Alexis Z. Jeffers (11) Akilah Byron Nisbett (3) and Jonel Powell (2) which is more than enough seats to form the next government. 

Dr Harris said they will continue to serve the people of St. Kitts and Nevis and give of their best in the next five years.

      They play the fear game well use the virus to scare people, The lock down the Curfews.....Their message was everybody got the Corona Virus except Kittitians .So Labour want them to open up the Ports to bring the Virus in... Kittitian fell for the fear game...it worked...They won...

    The Stimulus package worked....Almost everyone in SK get something..its a simple process... Its a good stimulus package Control by their labour department...Whick makes sense.. Labour gave out the forms, they fill and go back to labour, labour approved then send off for payment...The money send to your account.... Easy. No long lines, No two forms....This we have is too complicated..Then again our laid back do nothing labour dept might not be up to the task.. Congrat Dr. Harris and Team unity..
