Governor requests meeting with local press! What's he up to?

In the press advisory notice from his office, he said “In recognition of World Press Freedom Day, His Excellency, the Governor, Mr Daniel Pruce wishes to invite the members of the media to Government House.”
‘I am celebrating World Press Freedom Day’- Governor Pruce
In his invitation, Governor Pruce went on to say, “Journalists will have the opportunity to have an informal discussion with the Governor about life as a journalist in the Virgin Islands.”
While some in the media have raised suspicion, Governor Pruce stated, “The Governor will offer remarks on the record at the end of the conversation on the importance of press freedom.”
Usually, when the press is invited to an event it’s either a press conference or some activity requiring press coverage.
The Governor’s invitation to the press is restricted to one journalist per media house.
