Governor issues ‘all-clear’ for territory following TS Philippe
Philippe dumped over 7 inches of rain on the territory, causing flooding, rock slides, power outages and damage to some roads.
“As you no doubt will have observed, the winds and rain from Tropical Storm Philippe’s passage have reduced significantly. I can also report that in those areas where flood waters were observed last night and this morning, the waters have drained.
All-clear issued but caution still required
“As of 1:00 p.m., I am issuing an all-clear for the Territory. However, caution is still required. Rock falls, ponding, and other issues may still pose a threat to motorists, so all who choose to drive today must be extremely careful,” Governor Rankin stated today.
Appreciation was extended to all essential workers who have been hard at work with clearing debris, restoring power to those areas where it was lost, and “ensuring that we could come through this storm as safely as possible.”
Governor Rankin also said his gratitude also goes to the Director of Disaster Management and his team for their efforts in coordinating the collective response.

Because of these unforeseen happening, my suggestion is that our government leaders use our finances wisely. The future will greater destruction closer to come than we think. I am not prophesying evil on our Country, but sooner or later we will reap the fruit of our doings, same as other people have and will for theirs.
