FLOW TV coming next year- Tim R. Ringsdore

The reopening was done yesterday, July 13, 2016 where Managing Director of FLOW, Mr Tim R. Ringsdore told the many persons who had ‘flowed’ into the store how FLOW is enacting their brand change to reach a wider range of customers. He expressed how valuable technology is today for the young and old and how FLOW will continue to adapt to satisfy the various necessities of their customers.
FLOW TV coming next year
Among the many the new aspects of its service, FLOW recently become an official broadcast partner for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
“We are one of the key sponsors for the Olympics. As long as you are a FLOW customer, you can download a mobile app, which will allow you to view the Caribbean athletes, across the Caribbean. So not just viewing the whole of the Olympics but specifically some of the heats where the athletes on national TV may not have been visible. But certainly with the coverage we are providing, it will help to view anybody whose competing. We sponsored Ashley Kelly, who is one of our ambassadors and one of the reasons we sponsored her, was because of our commitment to the Olympics and she’s going to be competing and we’re obviously very excited for that,” Mr Ringsdore said.
The Managing Director added that FLOW BVI would be looking forward to FLOW TV becoming available, most likely in 2017. This would contain TV accessed over the broadband network that is not exactly featured on all of the Caribbean islands.
He said FLOW is taking its time to ensure the “investment in the network.” Once released, FLOW TV will give customers a better experience of sports coverage and other areas of TV.
Tourists rely on internet service
Among those present at the reopening of the retail store was Junior Minister for Tourism and At Large Representative, Hon Archibald C. Christian.
“Customers always want the best service, want fast internet speed, want to be able to have their faults dealt with in a timely manner. We want to make sure that we stay up with the community in technology. As a tourist destination, one of the things that our visitors really rely on is internet service when they get here so they can continue to communicate with their families, and relatives and business partners back at home. We have to show support to all of the providers,” Hon Christian said.
A new customer experience
The newly reopened store features payment machines, 4G area equipped with devices and accessories, a gaming area, a self seating area for entertainment, a “What’s new” technology desk, and a charge up station. The charge up station allows customers to plug their device into a secure locker, take the key, and walk around the store at no cost.
A decrease in lines is one of the aims of the store.
“One of the things that is new and really exciting is that we’re going to have an automated queuing centre. Someone will greet customers at the door with a tablet, the customer can tell them their tech issue. The greeter will assign a tech assistant to that person and when they are available, it will be shown on the screens. So they don’t have to stand in line,” said Marketing Implementation Manager, Sarah Graham.
FLOW also offers online payment for easier access to customers.
The positive change within the store was highly in affect as smiles and excitement were found all around.
One lucky customer, Mahde Said, even took home a brand new tablet.
Said told Virgin Islands News Online that he was contacted by FLOW to pay his bill at the new machine they have at the retail store. When he did this he got a huge surprise.
“As soon as I made the payment, FLOW staff were blowing horns and shouting that I won,” Said shared.
