ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Domestic passenger ferry operations, currently relocated to the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park, will return to the Road Town Jetty this weekend, the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) has said.

This comes as the Virgin Islands readies itself for the return of cruise ships with passengers after more than a year’s absence due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) would like to notify the public of the return of domestic ferry passenger operations to the Road Town Jetty on Sunday, June 13, 2021,” a press release from BVIPA today, June 9, 2021, stated.

Erected a costly structure @ Pier Park, used for just over a month, then abandoned. What kinda planning is this? Was that move to help somebody out?

Why are we still allowing the cruise line operators decide what we should or should not be doing ,knowing that that venture is so fragile and that they could pull out so easily. Your entire egg basket falls and you are not certain if all gone or you could still make breakfast. Be careful.

All that money spent on the confusing parking at Pier Park could have completed sensible parking at the Waterfront. Utter foolishness.
