2 illegal migrants of Indian nationality caught on Peter Island
According to reports reaching our newsroom, one of the illegal migrants suffered a serious leg injury while attempting to escape capture and had to be taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
The Department of Immigration has since asked the public to remain vigilant both on land and at sea for any suspicious persons or activity as they seek to locate more illegal migrants reported to be in the Territory.
Tip-off leads to capture of illegal migrants
The Department of Immigration said it received a tip of suspected illegal migrant activity on Peter Island on April 25, 2024.
"The department then sought the assistance of other law enforcement agencies, HM Customs and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), which activated the Joint Task Force.
"Two Indian national migrants have since been located and it is suspected that at least ten other migrants of varying nationalities remain on the island," the Department of Immigration stated in a press release on April 27, 2024.
It said the officers of the Joint Task Force continue to search the island and other locations for the remaining migrants.
Anyone with relevant information should contact the Department of Immigration at 468-4705, 468-4717, 468-4754 or the RVIPF at 311.

Didn't do it
It was a big thing at the time, get a bunch of Cubans and Haitian and drop them somewhere in Bvi.
Still going on
Technically they BVI government was easy going about this, though mostly sticking to its own laws for a while.
However, England itself while allowing many many foreign nationals into England to live, truly does not like the
other kind of 'alien' to be in the United Kingdom anywhere. They hate the EXTRATERRESTRIAL kind. If British
Stinky Service finds that one of THOSE has gotten into a territory under the disguise of being a human from another
well known country on Earth - they hit the ceiling. Its actually kind of funny, but has a tragic ending - for England.
