'You can't say that on this radio!'- Talk show host scolds Snr ESHS official
On the Tuesday, September 17, 2019, edition of the 'My BVI Radio Show' on ZKING 100.9 FM, the brainchild of Bishop John I. Cline for a Christian perspective on issues in the territory, the educator got a little too illustrative when trying to detail his methods of reprimanding students for indiscipline in the learning institution.
'Bitch & Sluts' - Mr Hodge
In explaining the origins of sternness in the school system, he said, "I get that question a lot about the whole issue of sternness and the aggressiveness and I said you have to understand where that error came from, that came out of a period where people believe students are not little people and they can't learn and understand and we have to use this brute force!"
According to the educator, brute force is not always necessary in the school system as children can react to change via other methods.
"Discipline in itself, in my definition, is the ability to do something good each day... in other words, you discipline yourself to make changes which are going to impact you in a successful way every day," he said.
However, it was at this time when Mr Hodge was illustrating his processes, the slipups happened, "Let's say for example a child would say to a child, you bitch or slut or anything like that..." he said the action would be taken to ascertain the origins of the child's use of the word.
Gasping, the host Angelle A. Cameron immediately moved to reprehend the educator for the use of the words, "You can't say that on this radio!" she reacted, to which another voice whispered, "bitch is a female dog".
Quick conversation change
Following that, the conversation quickly veered to the need to get to the origins of why students are exhibiting certain behaviours at the institutional level. According to Mr Hodge, "If someone happens to display behaviour that is not in keeping with [proper standards], it is our duty to stop that person and educate them at that particular time."
"When you take time to literally educate somebody about what it means to change their behaviour and to change their ways... we don't have to use the methods that we come up with, there's other methods," he said.
Over the past week, the ESHS has been roasted by social media users, following alligations of some 70 girls being sent home for uniform violations.
ESHS Principal Vanessa K. Garraway has since denied those allegations, noting that the school's uniform policy plays a pivotal role in inculcating disciplinary principles necessary for their future.

Mr Hodge made a reference; to some of the things that students SAY
Which child does not know the word OR which one in high school
You all need to take stock of the “ animals” you are reading for children .
Oohhhh you might be one whose child is the parent in the home . SORRY
Which child don't know the word f**k? Could he have used that?
So if he used f**k as an example, would that mean the context would have been correct?
Then stupid a*******s dont even want students to go upstairs during lunch time.I want all parents to pass by the school lunch time on monday at senior and see what thise students are going through.
