Woman succumbs to injuries from lone-vehicle accident

A woman who was seriously injured in an accident over the past weekend reportedly succumbed to her injuries while a patient of Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital. Photo: VINO/File
EAST END, Tortola, VI- A woman who was seriously injured in an accident over the past weekend has reportedly succumbed to her injuries.

According to information secured by our newsroom, the woman and her male partner were heading to their home on the Eastern side of Tortola, when the man lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle reportedly toppled off the road, landing several feet down.

Both occupants had sustained injuries; however, the male was treated and discharged from hospital.

The woman reportedly passed away at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital yesterday, May 26, 2022.

      People need watch where the hell them driving in the first place. If she was to die from internal bleeding by other means it would be the doctor fault. Ain’t the doctor fault some sk**** run her over????????‍♂️. Stupid clown.

    I hope they voice recorded, video taped and took pictures of every interaction, instruction and medication as many patients are now doing. That hospital is a place full of negligence. The cleaners and all do the nurse work, they have your meals sitting until cold, you got to beg for water. They give you wrong, improperly mixed medication, the psych ward patients are injected with mixtures designed for horses and various barn animals. All you have to do is look up the names, th UK has banned the use of many vaccines we continue to use and the list goes on. Yall are better off diagnosing yourselves off google because thats what the amateur doctors they hve are doing anyway.

    The ER at the hospital need to take accidents seriously, they need to scan for internal bleeding, MRI and all the necessary test. Also they need to question the patient very in depth.
    They are too slight with these emergency case. Who feels it knows it. That’s my two cent.

      I am in total agreement with your views. Some of those folks at Peebles taking People's lives as a joke. The attitude of Emergency Personnel is becoming more and more disgusting and unbearable. If these hospital staff members don't want to do what's necessary to save lives then they need to seek employment at an animal farm. Maybe their medical training and ethics will be more befitting to their attitudes and actions.
      What kind of hospital is this where you have patients involved in serious vehicular accident, in serious pain and yet no medical monitoring, no cat scans, MRI's or in depth observations to determine course of treatment. Doctors and Nurses alike need to stop treating people like dead logs. When someone place a serious Malpractice Suit against the attending Physician or Nurse(s) bet one will see the difference in Service at the Hospital. Only qhen it's their own some of them show Care!

      Does it matter? Call a Spade a Spade! The young lady died from negligence on behalf of the Staff on Duty. Her People needs to file charges against the attending Physician and Nurse in Charge. People should look for another field of employment if they not into providing medical services to save and better lives.

    Those Doctors especially in ICU namely Dr.Evilla(the Filipino), Dr.Batachata(or however you spell it), Dr.Chichester, Dr..Mohammad and that Dr.Robertson on VG are killing off people within minutes of being admitted by injecting that deadly saline and chloride IV Fluid in their veins and neck thus swelling them up like a popsicle!!!!

    Another lady who resides at Free Bottom passed away yesterday, she was run down by a driver who fell asleep. The accident happened on Sunday and she went to Jamaica by Air ambulance on Friday

      And she died. I heard the driver was drunk and asleep. None of the news sites mentioned that accident. RIP Sophia. You will be missed
