Wins for High Fliers & Swaggas in Xmas Biddy B’ball
Action got underway with two games on opening day with Hannah’s beating Parson’s Punishers, 20-15.
For Hannah’s Kadir Maduro top scored with 10 points and added 1 rebound with 2 steals. Shequan George scored 4 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal and Denari Warner 4 points, 1 rebound, 3 steals and 1 block.
The leading scorers for Parson's were K'mori Smith with 12 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals 1 assist and Raheem Johnson with 2 points, 2 steals.
Swaggas then beat Hannah’s, 34 – 7, in game 2 with K'ntenay Maduro notching 16 points, 6 rebounds, Antwon Robinson 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, Kymal Pancho 6 points, 1 rebound, 4 steal, 1 assist and Kishawn Esprit 6 points, 1 steal and an assist.
The top scorer for Hannnah's was Kadeam Maynard with 3 points, 2 steals, whilst Denari Warner finished with 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal, 1 assist and a block.
Things didn’t go quite so smoothly for the organizers on Saturday as with so much going on in the Christmas build up Parsons forfeited to the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP).
The next round of matches takes place on the outdoor court in Sea Cows Bay on Monday with Swaggas facing Parson’s Punishers at 3.30pm, followed by YEP taking on Hannah’s High Flyers at 4.30pm.
On Tuesday YEP play Swaggas at 3.30pm.
