MIAMI, Florida, USA- A Miami court on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, amended bail requirements for ex-Virgin Islands Premier Andrew A. Fahie, allowing his wife, Sheila E. Forbes-Fahie, to visit him for the holidays without surrendering her passport as previously required.

Mr Fahie has been largely confined to his daughter’s Miami apartment since he was released on $1M bail in June 2022.

He faces charges of conspiracy to import a controlled substance (cocaine), conspiracy to engage in money laundering, attempted money laundering, and foreign travel in aid of racketeering.

His trial is scheduled for January 9, 2024.

Motion was unopposed

The motion to amend Mr Fahie’s bail requirements was filed unopposed by Mr Fahie’s attorney Theresa M. Van Vliet on December 11, 2023.

Van Vliet asked that the court allow Fahie’s wife to keep her travel documents during her visit, and said pretrial services and prosecutors do not object to the request.

Mr Fahie’s wife will be arriving in Miami on December 15, 2023, and return to the VI on January 7, 2024.

I never thought I would say this as I was not a fan of fahie but I see why they had to try to organize what they did and hide behind another country to make their hands look clean. He was one of the few who was standing up to them for what was best for the people of the BVI. Now we are on the verge of a full dictatorship and colonialism.

Lol locals stupidity never ceases to amaze me. “Their time will come”, lol no it won’t. This ain’t some magic world we live in where some imaginary person made up by other people no different than you or me exists.

The number one stupid race on the planet is Black, though not entirely the races fault as it is also the only race targeted for mass deprivation in comparison to all the others.

This reason, and the fact that because of it most black people hate each other more than they hate the other races is why it won’t happen (also why blacks could never unify). You usually would have to be able to utilize your brain and think to see this, which I’d say 90% of people born in this pebble is incapable of doing.

I always tell people I would not have my degrees from University if it was not for fahie. Some people like to tell me it was not him but my tax money. I let them to know I was denied like hundreds of others by the scholarship committee for no valid reason and this man intervened and made it possible for me and hundreds of others whether you were in his district or not. There are not many elected people who would do that then and now nor will they go the extra mile to correct injustices by the system like most of us experienced when we applied as our family was not a well known and high society name. My family was poor and all I needed was a chance to better myself and my family. He intervened and made it possible. I am forever grateful. He is human and he will make mistakes but his good far far far outweigh his bad. I am a better person today because of him.

I too thank him for the opportunity to better my life. He will be rewarded for his good works even when it seems not to some.

Some of you criticize fahie for how he handled covid but if he did not do what all he did then many thousands of our people would have been dead now and so would many businesses. He did alot with the little bit he had as the UK stated they could not help as they had to take care of their own people. So it is clear the people of the BVI are not their people. I guess they expected him to fail. Now that he didn't and it made them look bad then they had to revert to plan B which is organize an elimination plan.

Why people is angry with Andrew is the way he mishandled the COVID MONEY. The money was for everyone not just a selected few or whom ever he choose to give to. People that really needed the money he left to suffer. In America, the people receive 3 checks to help them out during the PANDEMIC. How is it that I got laid off from my job and was disqualified and one of my neighbors receive a check for $20,000 for an imaginary fake garden? That is my take on the Andrew saga.

My dear, I was in the same boat. I thought I was going to have a breakdown. I too was laid off from my job during the Pandemic, applied and was turned down. All I needed the money for was to keep my bills going while I was out of a job. The land lord was breathing down my back, my lights was about to go off and hardly had any food in the house. I was surviving on crackers, tuna fish and spam. It hurt me when I had to go to my parents who taught me to be self sufficient for help.

How in the world any country can help everyone during a crisis. That is never possible. Not even the big USA & UK helped all their citizens because it is IMPOSSIBLE TO DO so stop saying non factual things. The man made sure many persons got help as much as was possible and that is a fact. I remember when we all we home during the long country wide shut down and he ensured every home got food. So many people benefited from the assistance in one way or another during covid so stop talking piddle out of hatred. I was not a full fan of his but the man did the people of the country well during the worse times in the history of the world in recent times. When the next pandemic hit which it will then is when you will cherish what he did as because of ungrateful people like you the help at that time will be little to none and the death toll will be high.

It is part of the well organized take over plot attempt at all costs using fear and dividing the people. Only a revolution can stop this plot.

This man is a good man and we wish him the best. I know some bash him for the fast track belonger programme but if he did not do it like he did then more than a thousand of us who were waiting for years and finally got status would still not have belonger status. I was not born in the BVI but I went school in BVI from class 3 in primary school. All my 3 children were born in the BVI and now so are my grandchildren. I love the BVI and it is now my only home and that of my family. I applied over and over and over again for my belonger status and was never successful nor received any favorable word for 30 years. They lost my documents many times. God bless fahie. He did not have to do it but he loves people. I am one who will never forget his kindness and I am not a shame to say so publicly. My family and I pray for him and wish him the best. I am now a proud citizen of the BVI.

Indeed it is and it is fact there is a void in the country with what has been organized against this man whether we want to believe ir or not or whether we like him or not. There is not a man alive without sin but the worse sin is when people organize to destroy others destiny. The punishment for this is ten times worse than what he will ever see whether guilty or innocent.

The former BVI Premier, Andrew Fahie, alledge misbehaviors is no less a sin than those commonly have, and are continuing in the BVI, moreover worldwide. It was the right decision to allowed his wife to visit him without been forced to surrender her passport.

I too as many others was glad that the former Premier got imprisoned. But after carefully rethought, I realized that his adversary is our adversary, and his helper is also our helper.
We must be careful not to rejoice over another person downfall, because it is possible for us to fall, though not in the same manner.
In spite of what has transpired, and what may happen, in reference to his upcoming Court case, may justice be served, and mercy may also be considered. Love, mercy, and grace trump over sin whether it be here, there, and even moreso everywhere on this planet called earth where humans reside.

I could like your post a million times. For me I cannot understand how setting up this man took such high priority. What about the people who killed Frandy in that boat accident. What about the people who robbed the people of the BVI of $8 million with planes that never came and never fly. What about some kind of action against this incompetent Commissioner of Police especially seeing these 55 allegations of wrong doings. You mean not one is true and worth looking into? How come only our people are out on leave from the public service and investigated but all these other issues & persons are being ignored The list is so long of things which remain a mystery why they have not been targeted towards being resolved but getting this man was of such high priority. Clearly more is here than meets the eye. Hiding behind another country to do your evil dirty work is not enough as they will be exposed.

I remember when he drop down on his knees with his hands high in the air talking about prayers for the BVI. I remember saying he needed a stiff hard kick in his A sending him flying down the hill. He was mocking the Universe. I wonder if he is going to drop on his knees with his hands high in the air in the court room when the 6 witnesses testify against him in front of the jury and judge.

Fahie promised it and had public meetings and got the project going. I am glad this government is finishing it but there is no doubt about it that we must thank Fahie for addressing this need once and for all. The people of JVD are pleased and say thanks to him and now those for completing it.
