'Whether I run or not, we have a 5-year plan' for D3- Willock
Mr Willock was at the time appearing as a guest on the Talking Points radio show on ZBVI 780 AM on March 25, 2024.
“The fact of the matter is, [regarding] my record in my community of District Three, I have been in my community for years… whether it's jobs for people in my community, whether it’s being at the District Representative's side doing things like I was the chair of the Ellis Thomas Downs, the chair of the Roger Hodge Park,” Mr Willock said.
“I have been there, whether it's sports activities, you name it, I have been there. Maybe I wasn’t out in the public broadcasting, but some of these initiatives that we’ve doing, obviously, we have to broadcast them, we have to promote them,” he said.
When asked if he has plans to run for elections, Mr Willock said an announcement will come at the appropriate time if he decides to throw his hat in the political ring.
People have no time for politics right now - Willock
“The reality on the ground is that people are hurting… they aint got no time to hear about no politics, about who is running, when they get up tomorrow morning and there’s no water to take a bath. You can’t tell me Julian Willock running,” he said while adding that there are legitimate priority areas to look at.
Willock added that more projects to come include the building of a structure for the D3 food pantry, as part of a consistent approach to doing more for the people of the VI.
“I can easily debunk the speculation… that I’m only doing this because [of political reasons]. I have been in my community. I have served on two occasions on the BVI Horse Owners Association,” he added.
Willock also said he believes it is only a minority, about less than 5 persons, who have been critical of his positive activities in the Third District.

That’s a great start to cleaning up SCB.
Now the rest of the wrecks and MOST IMPORTANTLY the sewage outfall at Slaney!!!!
The electorate have been negligent, sleep at the wheel, letting elected members become ROAD( Retired on Active Duty ) scholars. Some of the reluctance is driven by a political patronage, dependency, culture. Self interest let us look the other way, when under-, poor- performance, etc steers us in the face. We need to stop putting self-interest over public interest.
