While we think we are special we have simply learnt to obey masters which make us predictable… We saw it locally in our own BVI Snap Election of June 8, 2015 and internationally on June 17, 2015 when 9 African Descendants were shot dead by a Racist White Youth during a Prayer Meeting at historical, Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

Think about it – Whether it’s Religion or Politics we appear ready to accept being used and abused in exchange for some false gratitude that we are allowed to exist and become Scapegoats for others - We seem unwilling to acknowledge or learn from mistakes so rather than correct them we appear to welcome suffering as the only People required to turn the other Cheek and forgive and forget.

Drip! Drip! is the Torture of Waterboarding:

As a People so easily fooled we have already accepted any Hardships of our Snap Election as a normal way of life and in South Carolina the relatives of those murdered are eager to express forgiveness for the killer of their Families… No wonder he reloaded his gun 5 times and fatally shot 9 Persons while they waited on an imaginary God to give them permission to run or counter-attack.

We are slowly programmed to hate ourselves and would rather believe others than our own eyes and ears… Subsequently, whether it is mandated New Airport Entry Fees on our backs or Persons suddenly losing their jobs, we are required to believe that these were decided overnight rather than recognising them as a part of a pattern that we legitimised when we failed to reason before acting.

There is no doubt we are headed in the wrong direction and the only ways of easing that reality is by working hard at prevention or by stretching the imagination so losing can be seen as winning… In other words, for Supporters of the other side to seek relief in what may have happened if they had won only to find there was no Money to continue ongoing Political Projects or begin new ones.

They could never explain this to a People who believe Money grows on Trees and too much is still not enough… Fact is, the Election is over but decency and mutual respect are still being trampled – We see it as the former Premier’s Recognition Poster is defaced by NDP’s Celebration Placard when it would have been so much more considerate to simply allow the Event to be concluded.

Additionally, this drama of the two surviving Opposition Members fighting for leadership not only weakens them but makes them virtually ineffective, thereby ensuring a Dictatorship for BV-Islanders… Such behavior is unwise and unnecessary especially since it can be resolved by the flip of a coin and a basic agreement that each one will serve half a term as Leader of the Opposition.

Furthermore, the idea of a selected Group of losing Candidates trying to pressure the Governor into picking the Leader in this situation is misguided and he would be wrong to entertain such… NB: - These Candidates lost and therefore have no more influence than ‘John Public’ or any other losing Candidate – Furthermore, this Position has nothing to do with Internal Party Politics.

Unfortunately, too many seek to make Politics a Ponzi Scheme for the Self-anointed where sweet talk is Dead Meat to attract Flies - All these bad Plans and Policies were in the Pipeline long before the Tap was closed and reopened and we cannot continue this Political Tom Foolery with our People at so great a risk… Fact is, unless we come together in the People’s Best Interest all will be lost.
