What’s your New Year’s resolution?

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With several hours to go before its 2012, its time to start thinking about your New Year’s resolution, if you haven’t already!

Some of the more popular self-promised resolutions are to watch our weight, exercise more, drink less, save more, be actively involved in the community, be more patient with family members, and to repair other shortcomings we may possess.

However, let’s be honest that by the end of January most of what we pledged to do is thrown out the window.

So what can we do to remain steadfast?

A humorous article in the Vancouver Sun suggested that when individuals join the gym and fail to follow through they should be fined. Or charitable organisations can host ‘lose weight’ parties where persons can donate money for each pound they lose.

And for those smokers who vow to quit - use a $20 bill to light up. “Surely the sight of that money going up in flames will discourage you,” the article added.

So as 2012 approaches maybe the best thing would be not to burden you with too many resolutions that may be burdensome and almost impossible to achieve, rather just maybe commit to only a few “manageable” ones.

Anyhow, we wish you well with your New Year’s resolutions!

I solemnly resolve in 2012 to stop staring at woman's backsides as they roll pass me, looking so sexy in their shorts, tight jeans and pretty skirts, oogling at those wonderful orbs as they sway and sashay, causing me to forget where I am and what I was doing . . . . . . . .oh, I'm sorry, a lady just walked by. What was I saying again?
