The Committee with Aubrey Liburd in the Chair, Mary Phillips in charge of Women’s games, Mr. Odaine, and Reid present detailed the procedure for the draw as well as the format.
There are 12 teams entered into this year’s Cup competitions, including the 2011 Cup Double winning Ballstars and the first round of the Wendoll Williams, sponsored by Caribbean Cellars, will take place on Sunday September 23, 2012 on the A.O. Shirley Ground.
Teams will be allowed 6 on field substitutions plus one for the goalkeeper and the games will last 40 minutes per half. The semi final and final will be played over the full 90 minutes. In the result of a tied game 30 minutes of extra time will be played and if the teams are still deadlocked then a sudden death penalty shoot out will decide the winner.
As far as the schedule goes the BVIFA Competitions Committee hopes to stage 3 games each Sunday and 1 on Wednesday, with games on Virgin Gorda (VG) only if two teams from there are scheduled to play each other.
8 teams were drawn to play in the Preliminary Rounds with the next four teams awarded a bye into the second round. Finals day will also include a play off for 3rd/4th place.
Preliminary Draw:
Wolues F.C. v Haitians F.C. ( winner to face East End)
Lucians Stars v Panthers ( winner to face Sugar Boys )
VG United v Ballstars ( winner to face Old Madrid )
One Love v Rebels F.C. ( winner to face Islanders F.C.)

On the other hand, if you (or others) would take your son by the hand and go spend some time passing the ball,
there is a good chance, that in 10 - 15 years you will see him playing in BVI Football League. Imagine, how proud you will be. Think positive, football has no borders, color, race, religion, only RESPECT for other player.
Bless..... positive vibe!
