Wayne L. Rajbansie is back! Landed consultancy job @ MH&SD
He has landed a new consultancy contract through the Ministry of Health and Social Development (MH&SD) headed by Hon Ronnie W. Skelton, an At Large Member.
Speaking to our usual National Democratic Party sources, our newsroom was advised that Mr Rajbansie, who had mixed reviews as the DPP and his critics said he was almost never in court, will be assigned to the Social Development Ministry where he will conduct an assessment of the policy and legal frameworks and administrative arrangements related to sexual offences.
The deal was reportedly negotiated between him and the Permanent Secretary Mrs Petrona N. Davies of the MH&SD.
While the terms and conditions of the contract are allegedly still evolving, Mr Rajbansie is to get housing and other perks.
Poor DPP?
Many in the Legal community have given Mr Rajbansie mixed reviews while holding the post of DPP. A few months ago one of his colleagues, senior Magistrate Tamia N. Richards blasted him.
Ms Richards, during a ceremony marking the start of the 2016/2017 law year told the public that she “could actually count on one hand the number of times she had seen Rajbansie”.
Ms Janet A. Williams, a critic of the Government, told our newsroom in an invited comment, “With all the local lawyers coming home from law school, some even can’t find jobs I am sure they could have found one of them to take on this project….What about the law reform commission that we paid so much money for?....Something is wrong with these people” she asserted.
Minister for Health and Social Development Hon Ronnie W. Skelton and Mrs Davies could not be reached for comments as of publication time.
It was this news site that also first and accurately reported that another non-national, Ms Darlene A. Carty-Baptiste whose contract was not renewed as Chief Executive Officer of the BVI Health Services Authority, also landed a consultancy job with the same MH&SD to work on medical tourism.

conflict of intrerest
We don't have money to give teachers a decent salary, travelling allowance for those who have to work at more than one school per week, resources for the class rooms and the list goes on. Yet all these people as soon as one contract is completed another is granted. It is a shame that the people in the Virgin Islands (BVI) are only needed to vote. Our children go to college, return home and are treated like strangers in their Birth Land, it's like we need you but still we don't need you. We have to be careful of the way we are treating our people. I am very disappointed of where we are heading.
Ah hear them children on campus saying "Ah want a g***** like tat"
School children you know the facts so stop pretending. I know it you know we all no it.....it is wrong.... look trouble in me little trotola.
Is there no limit to ridiculous behavior in this territory.I wonder what is the motivation to make this consultancy arrangement.

Let's find out how much political favors to get that contract ,Barry Sa Ya will hearrrr Political revolution is here..These crooked politricians was than Donald Trump...
Lord, man, this is not sounding good at all. The Government can't pay vendors, but they can find money to pay Mr. Rajbamsie on short term contract? There are many persons here who could do what he claim he would do. The man in the VI laughing at Virgin Islanders saying how we moomooish. Well, some of us are not and will light a flambeau under his seat fast. Just wait.
