ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - In a demonstration of good corporate citizenship, Wasi Charleswell, the Proprietor of Wasi Construction based on Tortola, made a donation of 15 fans to Althea Scatliffe Primary School, today, December 7, 2021, to allow the students to experience a more comfortable learning environment.

Mr Charleswell, speaking to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO), said he was a school teacher for several years and knows that learning can only be done in a comfortable environment.

“I’m a former school teacher. I taught up in Baltimore, Maryland and in St Thomas, so I pass over there one day, and I realised how hot the children would be in an environment to learn in so I just decided to help out and donate 15 fans to the school,” he said.

Learning must happen in a comfortable environment - Mr Charleswell

“If a child is not in a comfortable environment, they not going to learn, you have to be comfortable in order to grasp so being there hot you would be uncomfortable,” he went on to say.

Mr Charleswell also encouraged other businesses to give back especially to schools.

"The children are the future generation, so let's work with them, help them out,” he said.

Mr Charleswell was also accompanied to the presentation by Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5).

This is great of you Wasi but what a shame that a country squandering millions of dollars yearly now relies on its citizens to pick up the slack.. one of the highest GDP in the region huh…

Thanks, but is it appropriate to use fans in a class room. They will blow away the students work sheets. LOL

C** D**p is the ONLY business that doesn’t do givebacks. The owner / founder claims to love the BVI; But besides highlighting social and personal issues what contributions she actually added to the BVI? now here comes the people who be posting online saying they don’t read VINO news to disagree with me in 54321
