VI’s U17 footballers depart for CONCACAF U17 Qualifiers in Costa Rica

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands’ Under 17 Men’s National Team departed these shores today, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, to compete in the CONCACAF U17 Men’s Qualifiers in Costa Rica.

The squad comprises 20 players and will be skippered by Latriel Williams.

Match day is Friday

Competing in Group B, the VI team will kick off their campaign on Friday, February 7, against St Maarten.

They will then face formidable opponents, including Trinidad and Tobago, host nation Costa Rica, and Guyana.

World Cup slot @ stake

According to the BVI Football Association (BVIFA), the stakes are high as the group winner will secure a coveted spot in the 2025 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

The Head Coach is Clinton Percival aka ‘Tinnie’ while the Assistant Coach is Morris Mark Jr.
