VI’s London Office reminds potential students of study abroad opportunities
According to a press release from the BVI London Office, this call is for students hoping to pursue higher education in the UK for the 2025 to 2026 academic year.
Eligibility
- Tuition Fee Loans Available: Students from the British Virgin Islands with settled status upon arrival in the UK can access tuition fee loans in England. This applies to both full time and part time university courses starting in the 2025 to 2026 academic year.
- Home Fee Status: UK nationals and their family members residing in the British Virgin Islands will qualify for home fee status if they meet the three-year residency requirement in the UK, Islands, or specified overseas territories. Family members of all individuals settled in the UK will also have access to this status.
- Additional Criteria: To qualify, students must be eligible for acceptance into a university programme. The UCAS application deadline for undergraduate courses is 29 January 2025. Students must possess either a British Overseas Territories Citizen passport with a student visa or a British Citizen passport.
- Residency Requirements: To be eligible for student support, students must fulfil the three-year ordinary residence requirement in the UK, Islands, or specified overseas territories.
Postgraduate students now eligible
The offer is now extended to postgraduate students allowing those starting master’s doctoral, and further education courses in 2025 to 2026 to be eligible for postgraduate loans and advanced learner loans.
