Virgin Gorda's Mystics are 2017 Federation League Champions

It was on Friday August 18, 2017, with Legs missing many of their players, that Virgin Gorda's Mystics won with a 92-77 points blow out.
Going into game four, which the Legs had to win, having lost game three to be 2-1 down in the best of five series, the Mystics proved too versatile despite missing Coach, Richie Morton.
The Legs were missing Franklynn L. Penn and veterans Kennedy H. Bass and Jason A. Edwin, due to prior commitments, which they (Legs) found harder to make up for.
As Morton explained, the series was all about seizing the early momentum and that is exactly what the Mystics did, right from game one. “I must commend my players for achieving great success. They worked hard all season, stepped up when it mattered and delivered the trophy to Virgin Gorda.”
This is the second year in a row that Legs, who can boast of some four consecutive championships in the Federation League, have been defeated. Last year they were crushed by Kings, who did not return this year to defend their championship title.
The MVP of the Senior Championship Team Mystics is Killven M. Samuel.
