VIP Gov't's Inaugural Territorial Address set for May 16, 2024
Ministers of Government will be delivering remarks to commemorate their first year in office and Premier Wheatley will deliver the official feature address at the event set to start from 5:30 PM at Maria’s by the Sea.
Premier Wheatley in an April 24, 2024, statement said his government will discuss its past accomplishments and present goals, ideas on solving the VI's challenges, celebrating accomplishments, and how to put its best foot forward.
Meanwhile, members of the media had indicated their intentions to boycott the event after they were told by the Department of Information and Public Relations today, May 14, 2024, that they would not be allowed to live-stream or record the event.
The restriction was subsequently withdrawn.
