VIP Congress to meet May 6, 2015 to confirm district candidates
The Congress meeting will be held on May 6, 2015 at 6:30pm, however, a venue has not been announced by the party.
Congress’ first meeting is on district candidates
The VIP has also advised its party members and the public that on Tuesday April 28, 2015 nominations will close for all district candidates and urged the VIP District Committees to continue their work of getting out the most suitable persons for possible district candidates.
The Congress meeting on Wednesday May 6, 2015 according to a press release from the party, will be to only address and vote for its district candidates, however, another meeting will be called by the Congress to vote on the At-Large slate.

While the 40-year old party has announced that nomination for district candidates will end on April 28, 2015 thus far, it has candidates lined up in most of the districts with just districts 2, 4 and 8 to be confirmed.
First District - Hon Andrew A. Fahie
Second District - Persons submitted are to be confirmed
Third District - Hon Julian Fraser RA
Fourth District - Dr Vincent G. Scatliffe and other names to be confirmed
Fifth District- Zoe J. Walcott-McMillan
Sixth District – Elvis J. Harrigan
Seventh District - Oleanvine Pickering-Maynard
Eighth District – McLloyd O. Walters and other names to be confirmed
Ninth District- Elton L. Sprauve
The election is expected to be a battle between the VIP and the ruling National Democratic Party. There are about two other political parties that have announced they will be contesting the 2015 general elections. They are the People’s Empowerment Party (PEP) headed by Hon J. Alvin Christopher (R2) and the United Party (UP) headed by former Legislator Conrad A. Maduro.
