VINO Survey: Labour voted worst Gov’t Dept; Residents want new political party
When asked which Statutory Body/Department is the worst run in the VI, the Labour Department came in with 741 votes, followed by the RVIPF with 482 votes.
The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) came in third with 371 votes, followed by the Immigration Department with 315 votes.
Residents were also asked if there was another Department not listed and 332 votes were received.
Do we need a new Premier?
Residents were asked who they would like to see as the next Premier and over 1030 voted for a new person.
Current Premier Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) came in second with 569, followed by Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8) with 401.
When asked which political party will have the most seats following the 2023 general elections, residents voted overwhelmingly for a new party with 1442 votes.
The National Democratic Party (NDP) came in second with 426 and the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) third with 336.
Residents were also asked if the Territory would accept another slate of new candidates like in the 2019 general elections. 1702 voted 'Yes' while 610 voted 'No'.

He will have to answer for Andrew, his stooges and his merry band of thieves, of which he was the chief stooge. Even if he changes his name to rejected ballots (expect a lot for the next election, whenever that is), he will still lose.

I want to commend the office of civil registry for their improved level of service. I remember when I first went there in 2000, it took 7 days for a birth/death certificate. And when you went to pick it up on the 7th day, they prepared it in 5 minutes, which was nonsense. I am happy to see that Ms. Benn has re-engineered many of the processes and can now assist folks timely and professionally.
For this to happen in the other agencies, you first need competent individuals, re-engineered processes and the necessary policies and procedures.
