VINO hacked! Statement from Board of Directors

Sometime late last night Monday, January 31, 2022, Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) was hacked by unknown person(s) and pornographic images and videos were published. Photo: VINO
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Sometime late last night Monday, January 31, 2022, Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) was hacked by unknown person(s) and pornographic images and videos that do not reflect our values were installed.

Additionally, we were unable to make any new posts or edits on the site for a few hours.

We apologise to our many readers, advertisers, business partners, and other stakeholders.

Management has since regained full control of the website and has strengthened its internal security.

It has also reported the matter both to local authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US Virgin Islands (USVI).

We thank all those who have reached out to bring the matter to our attention. For that, we are humbled and thankful.

Your support over the years remains steadfast and we are encouraged to keep bringing accurate and relevant news.

    I was in disbelief. I’m sitting there going through the web site to read what was posted for the day and I’m like what the heck is this? This cannot be real. If you seen it you would have been shocked as well. I agree, I hope no children was exposed to the videos.If I could recall it was about four different scenes, black and white males.
