VI Women to play Cuba & Honduras in World Cup Qualifier in February

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands Women’s Team is scheduled to play Cuba and Honduras in February 2022 as the road to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 begins for the ladies from the land of the turtle doves.

The first overseas engagement, against Cuba, is scheduled for February 19, 2022, while the second match, against Honduras, is slated for February 22, 2022.

According to General Secretary of the BVI Football Association (BVIFA) Juliana Luke, both matches are scheduled to be played in Honduras.

Luke said preparations for the upcoming engagements have been ongoing, although not with a full squad recently due to COVID-19 concerns.

The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 will be played in Australia and  New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, 2023.
