MIAMI, Florida, VI- The Virgin Islands is participating in the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show.

The 2025 edition of the boat show, February 12 to 16, 2025, is taking place across multiple venues, including the Miami Beach Convention Center, Pride Park, Herald Plaza, Venetian Marina, Museum Park Marina, and Superyacht Miami at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami. 

The boat show is one of the world’s premier boating events, drawing thousands of marine enthusiasts and industry professionals, a press release from the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission (BVITBFC) said.

The VI delegation is being led by Business Development Manager for the North American Southeast Region at the BVITBFC Shaekhoya Matthew. 

The team also includes representatives from the Virgin Islands Maritime Authority (VISMA) and NAAS, a VI-based charter company. They aim to promote the VI’s world-class sailing experiences, luxury accommodations, and top-tier marine services to a global audience.

The BVITBFC is exhibiting at Herald Plaza, Booth PH321, where attendees can enjoy an authentic taste of island hospitality with a lively happy hour featuring the famous Painkiller cocktail and other island favourites, complemented by the vibrant sounds of live steelpan music. 

The happy hour will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 4-6 PM and Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 2-4 PM.

A key event for the VI- Mr Clive L. McCoy

Director of Tourism Mr Clive L. McCoy emphasized the importance of the event, calling it a key event for the VI. 

“Its audience aligns perfectly with our market - international boating enthusiasts and visitors from Florida, one of our top-performing regions. This platform allows us to showcase the BVI’s unparalleled marine offerings and strengthen connections within the industry,” he said. 

The boat show highlights the latest innovations in yachts, marine accessories, and watercraft technology.

    Willy P. Back then the BVI was nicer. Christmas on Mainstreet and music fest at Cane Garden Bay was peak. Now we are going down hill.
