VI renews FCCA Presidential Strategic Partnership for 2025


The announcement was made in a Facebook post by the association where it added that cruise tourism in the [British] Virgin Islands continues to grow from strength to strength, with “impressive arrival’ numbers anticipated for 2024.

Natasha J. Chalwell, Marketing Director of BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) said they are delighted to announce the renewed partnership with the FCCA for the continued success of cruise tourism in the Virgin Islands.
“As we anticipate impressive arrival numbers for the upcoming year, our partnership with the FCCA as a Presidential Strategic Partner for 2024 underscores the BVIPA’s dedication and commitment to fostering growth in this important sector.”
Ms Challwell added that cruise tourism not only brings economic benefits but also fosters cultural exchange and supports local businesses, enriching the VI.

Meanwhile, the FCCA thanked the entire VI destination team, including Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), Minister for Communications and Works Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5), Ms Chalwell, and the leadership of the BVI Ports Authority for their invaluable partnership.
The FCCA is a not-for-profit trade organisation composed of 23 member cruise lines operating nearly 200 vessels in Floridian, Caribbean, and Latin American waters.
Created in 1972, the FCCA’s mandate is to provide a forum for discussion on tourism development, ports, safety, security, and other cruise industry issues by fostering an understanding of the cruise industry and its operating practices to build cooperative relationships with its partner destinations and to develop productive bilateral partnerships with every sector.
