VI Registrar General Stephanie P. Benn passes
Sources have indicated that Ms Benn passed away in Puerto Rico, however, it remains unclear the cause of death.
Since the news, the Government moments ago announced that the Civil Registry and Passport Office will be closed to the public on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
"Persons can contact the Public Service Customer Service Care Centre at 468-3701 or email the department at infocris@gov.vg," a statement tonight said.
The office has noted that it regrets any inconvenience caused.
The Management and Staff of Virgin Islands News Online express condolences to the family and other loved ones of the late Ms Stephanie P. Benn.

The husband’s and brother’s name were; always give God reverence and the respect He deserves from us.
Air pollution courtesy of the dysfunctional incinerator at Pockwood Pond for the past couple of decades follows closely.
#3 is the unabated human slaughtering
Since these two factors, plus being slaughtered by our guest residents from another land can be eliminated, one can conclude that dying is now the national pastime of the "new and improved" VIslanders.
I have to say that I am also saddened at the comments in this thread. Is this who we have become? Not an ounce of sympathy or empathy? Instead, using every opportunity to push our different agendas? May God help us! Unless we change how we treat each other, things in this little place are going to get worse and worse.
Its like every time some one die is the Vaccinated this and that... so I guess no one can be sick no more and die or fall asleep and die in their sleep any more. death is a part of living. NOW STOP WITH THE VACCINCE KILLING AND THIS AND THAT ITS GETTING OLD NOW. JUST LIKE COVID IT CAME IT TOOK SOME MUCH OF THE PEOPLE WE MAY LOVE BUT ITS DYING DOWN AND SO SHOULD WITH ALL THIS VACCINCE BULLS***.
These comments are something else. The reason that expats prosper so well in the BVI is because of the ignorance shown in posts such as these. The lack of compassion coupled with the vaccine ignorance and misguided religious indoctrination.
For shame.
