Did the ABLP win the election by a landslide because of its political dominance and true popularity or because the opposition UPP was weak, unprepared, caught flat footed, ?? Is Antigua a model of economic success worth emulating? Is its infrastructure, institutions, economy, standards of living, quality of life and per capita, etc., are standard bearer. Is dependency, political patronage, etc, hang around its neck? What type of political and economic institutions does it have, ie, extractive or inclusive? Are the political, economic institutions, allegedly corrupt? Elect over , will fees and taxes poised to be raised, putting more licks on the struggling citizenry in the face of skyrocketing, in the stratosphere cost of living? Was Ras Gassy’s historic victory a mirage? Are lopsided political victories good for regional countries? Does such victories emboldened leaders to behave in autocratic manners? The election was called 2.5 years ahead of schedule. Should Antigua and Barbuda and other regional countries have date-certain elections, leveling the political playing field? Is democracy serving the region well? Are the sleeping electorate responsible for the deplorable state of politics in the region? Is a dependent electorate like a cancer? Are the alleged accusations that politicians used their offices as passports to personal gain? Is China the lumbering, sleeping giant waiting to pounce on the region with its “ debt traps” ? Mek us trolong for good politik..

Sowande and Ras Gassy. Lol. A Pan-Africanist and a Ras. You mingling Antigua and Barbuda history making election with many other regional issues. However, what glitters is not always good. No Antigua is not a model standard bearer for the rest of region. Many Antiguans are of the opinion allegedly that leaders are using their public sector position(s) as passport to private gain, creating businesses which compete with the ordinary citizens, ie, farming, real real estate, etc. The size of ABLP victory have left many surprisingly disappointed, calling for a revamping of the opposition,
