ORLANDO, Florida, USA- A Virgin Islands (VI) native who now resides in the United States has received a full scholarship to Syracuse University in New York.

D'Joni Scatliffe, who migrated from the VI two years ago, grew up playing basketball and transitioned to football at East River High School.

In an interview with Fox 35 Orlando, D’Joni said of his ease into football as an offensive tackle. “I was always in front the defenders so I just feel that helped me out with my blocks and stuff.”

D'Joni also said he committed to playing Division I football at Syracuse University because “the coaches, the staff, everything was just amazing”.
