LAAYOUNE, Morocco- National cyclist Darel Christopher Jr is representing the [British] Virgin Islands (VI) and Albiono Pro Cycling Team in the Tour du Maroc, which is considered the most important road cycle race in the African state of Morocco.

Tour du Maroc takes place from May 31 to June 9, 2024.

Christopher Jr, who was involved in an accident while cycling in France on Monday, April 15, 2024, is a member of the Albiono Pro Cycling Team registered in the Virgin Islands.

The Virgin Islands’ cyclist is still seeking qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

Christopher Jr is leading a 4-man Albiono Pro Cycling Team in the competition which kicked off today. Stage 1 is a 150km journey from Laayoune to Tarfaya.

Participation for Albiono Cycling Club Ltd is a major achievement for the club since its forming in October 2023, by former cyclist Darel Christopher Sr.
