PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad & Tobago- The Virgin Islands (VI) boys won their first game in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boys’ U14 Challenge Series against the United States Virgin Islands (USVI) 3-1 on Monday, August 19, 2024.

Ty’Rique Charles scored a hat-trick leading the VI boys to victory at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad, ending the team’s losing streak.

The win comes following a 0-3 loss against Dominica in their opening match on Friday, August 16, 2024, and a 0-4 loss against Turks and Caicos Islands on Saturday, August 18, 2024.

The boys will come up against Anguilla today at 4:00 p.m.

Monday's Playing XI for the VI squad was made up of Myles E. Penn (Captain), Trevon Stevens, Devin Daley, Bryson Walters,  Carlon Stewart, Ty’Rique Charles, Ethan Mohamed, Joel Gifford, Quinn Pascoe, Audony Gangoo, Caedon Fraites.

The substitutes were Zaed Chalwell, Quacey Cooper, Emery Jones, Sha'mauri Lennard, Kyrique Matthew, James Tucker Davis, Akhori Sebastian, Kerjahni Prevost, and Delanie Gordon. 

Cassandra J. Gregg is leading the team as Head Coach.

    Cass is great with all kids. She was always present with the boys and girls team when we played as kids 20 years ago
