VI based pilot killed by brother in St Kitts

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A pilot from St Kitts and Nevis who worked in the Virgin Islands met his death allegedly at the hands of his own brother in his home country.

According to several reports in the St Kitts and Nevis media today, October 10, 2017, Mervin R. Flaherty, reportedly a pilot with Air Sunshine, had returned home from Tortola, Virgin Islands, to bury his mother on Wednesday October 11, 2017.

He was; however, stabbed to death by an elder brother during an altercation over property in the town of Cayon.

The brother, alleged to have inflicted the fatal wound, is better known as “Rockers.” There was no information if he was in police custody.

There have been some 20 homicides in St Kitts and Nevis so far for 2017.

    Let us pray for the entire family as they go thru this trying time at this moment.May their mom and brother rest in eternal peace. As I write this tears are coming from my eyes and my heart is in pain as I know them all. There are many rumors but Jesus knows it all and he knows what lies ahead.     Rip my friend you would truly be missed was so nice to me wheneva i needed him. Thanks so much and my condolences to his family especially his kids. I'm still in shock and he didn't even get to put his mother to rest whom he love dearly

    Such devastating news to hear when the family are already grieving for the loss of their Mum. Poor Mervin, didnt get the chance to meet you, but spoke to you on the phone and heard nothing but good about you, and was looking forward to meeting you when you planned to visit your Aunty in the UK next year. We are all still shocked by the events that have taken place, not only did your Mum pass away, but your life has been taken cruelly and unjustly by your brother........sad sad times my heart goes out to the rest of the family who are left behind to pick up the pieces and try to make sense of something that should never have happened. Rest In Eternal Peace Hannah & Mervin you are together in gods Kingdom xxx
